Cancellations & Returns

We accept returns that are brand new and uninstalled minus all shipping costs and a restocking fee of 15%. The grace period to return a product is 20 calendar days from when the product is delivered to your location. The product must be in its original condition including packaging materials, crates, boxes and all pamphlets. 

Customer is responsible for all shipping costs; those charges will be deducted from your refund.  The product should be returned in the same condition including shrink wrap and foam.

We will provide a refund minus the shipping costs in the same manner the order was placed. It is the customers’ responsibility to confirm the product will comply with their state, county or city codes and is a buyer responsibility to review the spec sheets prior to their purchase. If you purchased with a credit card, you will be refunded on the same card.

All steam showers carry a (10) ten year structural warranty against manufacturer defects. The structural warranty protects the structure of the steam shower from peeling, fading, delaminating or cracking.

Structural components include the acrylic panels, shower pan and ceiling. All steam shower parts carry a (3) three year guarantee against defects.  The structural warranty protects the structure of the tub from peeling, fading, delaminating or cracking. 

MayaBath.com carries all steam shower replacement parts in stock at our California based warehouse and will arrange for a spare part to be delivered to you. Warranty does not cover labor or shipping.

MayaBath.com recommends that a certified plumber or electrician replace the spare part.  Maya Bath does not accept any responsibility or liability for the installation of spare parts and the warranty does not cover normal wear and tear and or accidental damages.

Steam Shower Installation Guide

Congratulations on your new Maya Bath steam shower! Before you jump into using it, here’s a step-by-step installation guide to help you set it up properly. This guide is designed to outline the key steps and help you avoid common installation mistakes. However, it’s essential to note that Maya Bath cannot be held liable for any installation-related costs or preparatory work. Always prioritize the steam shower’s original installation instructions provided by the manufacturer, which should take precedence over this guide.

1. Finding a Professional Installer

Since water conducts electricity, it’s crucial to ensure all electrical work is performed by a qualified electrician to avoid hazards. It’s also recommended that a plumber handles the installation of your steam shower.

If you’re unable to find a registered installer, Maya Bath can help connect you with third-party installation services. However, we cannot guarantee the quality of work done by these third parties, nor can we accept liability for any issues that arise.

2. Preparatory Work

Before purchasing, ensure you have the correct dimensions and know where your steam shower will be installed in your bathroom. Both a hot and cold water supply, along with an electrical feed, will be required.

• Water Supply: The manufacturer’s installation booklet will indicate where the hot and cold water feeds should be piped. Your steam shower will come with flexible hoses for easy connection. Ensure the pipes are recessed and don’t protrude more than ½ inch from the wall. Consider installing ball lever for easy water shut-off.

• 
• Electrical Supply: Steam generators (5.0KW) require a 30Amp dedicated power supply. This will usually be connected to the main breaker box. The voltage for most Maya Bath steam showers is 220V at 60Hz.

• Drainage: Refer to the manufacturer’s guide for the correct positioning of the drain. Your shower will come with a flexible drain hose that connects to your drainage point.

Before installation, complete any preparatory work such as plastering, painting, or tiling. Important: Never drill or drive nails into walls without knowing what’s behind them!

3. Installing the Tray/Tub

Place the shower tray in its final location. Use the adjustable legs beneath the tray to ensure it is perfectly level, checking with a spirit level. Once leveled, secure the tray legs by tightening the locking nuts.

4. Installing Top and Side Panels

Move the tray about 15-20 inches away from the wall to allow space for panel installation. Follow the specific order in your shower’s installation manual. Apply sealant between each panel and the tray. Secure the panels together using the provided bolts. Once all the acrylic and glass panels are in place, the top piece can be installed and secured with screws or bolts.

5. Connecting Pipes and Wires

The overhead fan, lights, and speakers will be powered by the main control box. Each wire should be labeled and matched to its corresponding connector. These 12V DC wires can now be plugged in. Water pipes connecting the overhead shower and body jets to the thermostatic valve should be secured with pipe clips and tightened using a screwdriver.

6. Connecting Water, Electricity, and Drainage

Ensure water supplies are balanced and have adequate pressure. The steam shower comes with flexible stainless steel hoses for water connections similar to those found on household washing machines.

Connect the 220V/110V power supply directly to the breaker box or plug into an outlet. The ground wire must be connected to a grounding point in the bathroom or the shower’s metal frame. A qualified installer will ensure proper grounding.

Finally, connect the flexible drain hose to the bathroom’s drainage system and seal as needed. The drain hose is flexible, allowing some movement beneath the tray.

7. Sealing

Steam Shower Installation Checklist:

• Hot and cold water supply lines should be recessed.
• A dedicated electrical supply line is required.
• Ensure the floor drain setup is correct.
• Apply sealant between all adjoining panels.
• Tighten all pipes and joints with a spanner.
• Use the hand shower to check for leaks around panels, jets, and fittings.
• Seal around the mirror and check glass seals.
• Flush all new pipework to remove debris before connecting to the shower.

Please note: It is the responsibility of the electrical installer to take all necessary safety precautions and to verify that the electrical components are in good condition prior to installation.
